Press release: Missoula Children’s Theatre presents HANSEL and GRETEL on August
The Oconto Falls Friends of the Arts are proud to begin their 2008-2009 season with the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of HANSEL AND GRETEL, featuring 60 area children! Auditions for this production, which are open to area children entering grades 1 through 12, will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 4 at Oconto Falls High School.
Join Missoula Children’s Theatre, the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre company as the time-honored tale of Hansel and Gretel takes a modern day spin! Hank and Gretchen, two modern youngsters, drift off to sleep, waking to find themselves in strange clothes, lost in the deep dark woods. As evening approaches and the moon rises, the wayward children realize they are not alone. Nasty Nasties dart from tree to tree and sweet Wallybirds munch on cookie crumbs they’ve left on the forest floor. Finally, they meet the Wildwood Witch. Is she bad or good? Wicked or misunderstood?
