Hoover Dam
As I mentioned, Shirley and I were invited out west by an old(!) high school buddy, Tim Ulrich, to tour Hoover Dam, Zion National Park, Virgin River Gorge and many scenic miles that Tim guided us on personally for a week; taking off work as Area Manager for Hoover Dam. It was our first trip west, thanks to Tim’s invite! Memories almost long-lost came to mind as we reminisced back some 40 years ago (cracked Shirley up!). Tim came back for our 40th class reunion in Two Rivers this summer after leaving TR in ’75; that’s how the trip all came to be. Tim is retiring at the end of the year and said we should come out while he still has the keys to the “Dam”! I told Tim about the KL web site, and he is logging on. It was a grand and enjoyable stay with Tim, and a dam(n) good tour–or good dam tour! I know Tim will be checking the site from out there! Here’s a pic of us with Tim at Hoover Dam, along with another high school buddy, Terry and his wife Lana Ernst. Coincidentally, we all hooked-up with Tim at the same time. Thanks, Tim!
