POTD: Dog fight
On our pontoon cruise the other day on KL, we saw an eagle and osprey battling it out! I’ve seen this on other occassions, but it was the osprey who was the chaser; driving the eagle away; they don’t get along; compete for food. The eagle would accually fly upside-down, talons up to fend off the osprey; a sight to be seen! The osprey has oily water repellant feathers and can push the eagle (which hasn’t oily feathers) under water, if it can get the eagle down to the water. Don’t know what had changed this dog fight, with the eagle on attack! The eagle just might of had enough of the smaller bird pestering it! {:>D (Photo by Shirley Birr)
