Common mergansers and mallards back on open water!

Common mergansers took flight as mallard ducks remained afloat out in front of Birr’s Eye View.  common-mergansers-and-mallard-ducksa.JPGPhoto by Shirley Birr.

How about a second web cam across the lake?!

sunset.JPGWe’ve been working on getting a second web cam set up on the eastside of the lake at Dave Fichenscher’s.  With the two cams, you’d be able to see the lake from sunrise to sunset and everything in between!  Dave’s retired, which means he’ll be able to reset the cam on occassions of outages or spikes and make periodic adjustments.  I’ve talked with Steve (the Kelly Lake Webmeister and Administrator) about costs.  A cam can be purchased for about $175; then, you need the software, wiring, cam enclosure, etc.   We’re looking for funding for the eastshore web cam.  It would view basically west with wide angle lens.  Steve, perhaps you could add anything I’ve left out!

The sunset photo is from Dave’s where the cam would be mounted.  Thanks, Dave, for the photo and site help.  Roger

Nice touch, Steve!

I like the new format and so does Shirley; classy format!  You can use my name to sign in.  I’ll send you a bill!

Thanks, Steve, for your work.  It adds to our Kelly Lake Community!  Rog

This is a test, only a test…

Steve the KL WM here…just testing a different site theme…I thought this would fit a bit better.
There are literally THOUSANDS of different CSS themes that can be changed in 2 seconds.
I’ll see if I can add a theme selector for those who like the old theme. Sorry Rog, I signed in as YOU!

The ducks are back on Kelly Lake!

rubber-duck-002b.JPGWith spring here and the water opening, the ducks are arriving including this rubber ducky spotted by Shirley today floating out front!
