More Oconto Falls “Friends of the Arts”!
GEORGE WINSTON will present A SOLO PIANO CONCERT at the Falls Area PAC
7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2008. In concert George will be performing songs from his upcoming CD, GULF COAST BLUES AND IMPRESSIONS – A HURRICANE RELIEF BENEFIT, as well as selections from his seasonal favorites AUTUMN, DECEMBER, WINTER INTO SPRING and SUMMER, as well as his FOREST and PLAINS recordings, played in his melodic folk piano style. He also plays some of Vince Guaraldi’s Peanuts pieces, as well as New Orleans R&B piano, stride piano and more. “Changing seasons and the landscape are just two of the elements that influence the instrumental offerings of George Winston, whose most recent solo piano CD, MONTANA – A LOVE STORY, calls on his childhood home for inspiration. Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for students. All tickets are subject to a $1 processing fee.
