Unique water craft!

craig-craft.JPGEric and Sherry Stein sport their dual-hull new concept Craig Cat boat around Kelly Lake.  Eric gave my wife, Shirley, a ride recently; I have yet to try it out.  It has a 25hp engine which moves it right along!  See Craig Cat web site at http://www.craigcat.com/ .  Roger (Photo by Shirley Birr)

Kelly Lake area’s Bob Broetzman out about on Kelly Lake with his amphi-car.

water-car-025-9a.JPGKelly Lake’s amphi-car pulled up to visit.  Bob Broetzman and friends docked up here while on their ride around Kelly Lake in what I believe is a ’63.  His son, Dennis, also had an identical one that we went out on.  Perhaps you’ve seen them riding down the boat landings right into the water, shocking people!  “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”, people would think, not knowing it can also stay afloat!

The car developed in the late 50s and early 60s was totally unique!  Roger (photos by Shirley Birr)
