Kelly Lake cottage neighbors/friends, Doc and Donna Mahoney along with their son, Mike and wife Rachel, came over to lend a hand gathering/disposing of leaves yesterday. They had plenty of leaves to rake themselves! Thanks guys! Roger and Shirley (Photo by Shirley Birr)

Kathy and Roy Lawrenz from Lee Lake stand in front of Jeff Gorden’s tractor/trailer staged at the NASCAR race in Alabama. They’re his fans! Shirley and I were for Jeff Burton (car 31), my cousin. Burton held the lead for three times finishing 5th, while Gordon fell out early. Tony Stewart won. Shirley’s maiden name is Stewart! She’s doing the geneology to see if he’s related! So far she’s learned that 12 Stewarts came across from Scotland to Canada; some located here, the rest moved south. A great trip and race! Roger (Photo by Shirley Birr)
