Steve, thanks for the quick-fix! There have been viewers as far away as Germany and Florida wondering wha-happened to the site! As usual, I trusted your expertise to get us up and online again. By the way, I forgot to let you and others know our e-dress HAS changed very recently. It’s rjbirr@plbb.us .
To the viewers: Steve is Kelly Lake’s Webmeister and has done a great job for many years (7 is it?). Stay tuned for what my guru/mentor has in mind for the site. He’s a busy guy and donates his time to us as a favor to me. Again, thanks, Steve! We’ll get back to sharing photos, etc. AND, we always welcome photos from site viewers. If not clear how to format for the site, send them directly to me along with text. Rog and Shirley Birr

Roger & Shirley:
The problem with the site has been solved.

It turns out it was the weather forecast plugin that was linked to a service that went offline, dragging many blog sites down with it. I removed the plugin and upgraded WordPress to the latest version. If you need a local forecast, try weather.com. You will notice some changes in the editor layout, but it’s pretty much the same. You’ll get used to it! You may begin blogging again… Oh, and please let me know your new email address.
Think Spring!

We have a lot of snow here at Kelly Lake after snowstorm Ian. Temps turned col (-1 this AM). Received at least 8″ of snow. Roger

Shirley startled these nuthatches feeding at our suet blocks. It has been a long cold snowy winter for them too! Roger

Enough daydreaming of warm summer days!
Though it’s been mild (49.8* Saturday and in low 40s since), there’s plenty of winter here. The snows melting with still a good foot on the ground. The warm-up has been welcomed, as the cold prior took a toll on the heating budget! (Photo by Shirly Birr)
