First of all, Steve, I was in the hospital for a week (missed the festivities over the 4th!) suffering from dehydration; IV and all!
Our kellylake.net Photographer, Shirley Birr, took 1st Place in the DNR’s Photo Contest, along with Homory Mention with 10 other phographers. The photos will be used in their calendar (it’ll be good exposure). If you recall, she also won Honary Mention last year in Cabin Life Magazine’s photo contest at the Colisium in Madison.
The first photo was taken at Neshoto Beach in Two Rivers at the annual Kite Festival (awesome showcase of kites!). The second photo was taken from the beach near the Lighthouse Inn in Two Rivers. The final photo chosen was of the East Twin in Two Rivers. Rogers Street and the museum are in the background (note the ice around the fish tugs). The DNR contest theme was “Great Lakes”.
