The sun has finally gotten the best of our pontoon upholstery. Doug is redoing all the seats; should feel like a new boat!. I’ve known Doug for a number of years and recommend him. He’s worked on upholstery for world-renown Carver Yachts and Palmer Johnson. Roger Birr

The Kelly Lake Advancement Association held, what I believe, was their 20th annual pancake breakfast, served with sausage, milk, coffe and orange juice; all you can eat. Members eat free; $5.00 for non. It’s a great venue for socializing with friends and neighbors. Roger

Jay Breitlow (family has a cottage nearby) came back from western Africa where he practices as a chiropractor, working on the HIV virus. He spends about 9 months there and 3 months visiting old acquaintances back in Wisconsin including his mother in Madison and friends in Minnesota. He just received his return passport for departure in September. It was great getting together and sharing his adventure. He said the sun sets in Africa at 5:30 each day. For more about Jay, see his website at http://journeytosolidarity.org/ .
He joined us to a party Friday night on the otherside of the lake at Craig Anderson’s cottage.
Best wishes and a safe return to Africa! We enjoyed your company. Rog and Shirley
