Web Cam1 Update.

After taking a break from ironing out pc and website problems, I’m back trying to figure out whazzup with Cam1. I’m going through and reapplying settings, checking all connections and using all the notes through the years to troubleshoot why I can’t get an image on the site; I can’t even get one on my monitor. I’ve been through this before and eventually found the glitch to correct it! Be patient… For now I’m beside myself!

Cam2 is sitting in a box beside me ready to be mounted across the lake facing west at Dave Fickensher’s. Perhaps I’ll connect-up with Dave (Fricky) to meet him at his home and set Cam2 up for the time being.

The cams are back to being a priority, as all else seems to be working. Rog

Taylor Hicks biggest fan!

Kelly Lake’s Michelle (Lutz) Grenke professes to be a big Taylor Hicks fan! In fact, after talking to Shirley at the Radio Shack today, Hicks name came up, and Michelle wants to get together and have a Taylor party! I guess I’m all for a Hicks party!  Roger

Michelle seen here cooing to Hicks at Lutz’s beach on Kelly Lake!

But, she has competition!

KL Boat Parade ’06!

Looking through the archives, I thought you might appreciate another summer pic; seeing that being halfway through February–billed as a short month–seems twice as long, especially with this sustaining cold cloudy spell. Yes, a day or two here or there of sun and temps above freezing, but a stretch of above normal temps would be welcomed! Roger

Oconto Falls “Friends of the Arts” season starts:

Press release: HARLEM GOSPEL CHOIR COMING TO OCONTO FALLS!

The Oconto Falls Friends of the Arts are proud to present the HARLEM GOSPEL CHOIR on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the Falls Area Performing Arts Center, located at Oconto Falls High School. The world famous Harlem Gospel Choir is the most famous gospel choir in America today. It travels the globe, sharing its joy of faith through its music & raising funds for children’s charities. The Choir was founded in 1986 by Allen Bailey, who got the idea for the Choir while attending a celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Cotton Club in Harlem. The Choir presents the finest singers & musicians from Harlem’s Black Churches & the New York/Tri-State area.

The Harlem Gospel Choir has shared its message of love & inspiration with hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Through its dynamic performances the Choir strive to create a better understanding of the African-American culture & the inspirational music called Gospel as it relates to the Black Church. The theme of every performance is “bringing people & nations together & giving something back”.

In this new era of hope and change the Choir’s voices reflect the RENAISSANCE of Harlem’s culture. The Harlem Gospel Choir’s rich harmonies and sound are always “UNFETTERED, JOYOUS & INSPIRATIONAL”. Their songs of hope & inspiration will touch the depths of your soul & lift your spirit to angelic heights – every performance will take your breath away! More than just a style of gospel, the Harlem Gospel Choir is the original “real deal” straight from New York. Unlike its pale imitations, the Choir’s music embodies the true spirit of gospel.

Over the years, the choir has performed with such famous artists as Bono, Sinead O’Connor, Simple Minds, Live, Robin Gibb, Kim Wilde, Lyle Lovett, Diana Ross, Harry Belafonte, Brooks and Dunn, Ashford & Simpson, Jimmy Cliff, and the Chieftains. The choir has been featured on TV many times including Top Chef, The Colbert Report, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Good Day New York, and the Early Show. In 2008 the Choir performed for 60,000 people at Yankee Stadium for Pope Benedict XVI.

This year the choir’s tour is called “Concert Of Hope / Remembering Michael Jackson and their song list will include some interpretations of the inspirational songs sung by Michael and the Jackson Five. Kelly Lake’s Rita Day celebrate’s 40th!

Iree, iree, come to Jamaica, mun! Rita Day, along with boyfriend Ron Asp and his mother, Marge, hosted Rita’s 40th birthday party Caribbean style Saturday night. Food from the islands favored the tables with flavor from the tropics. We all had a grand time listening to the gayla Jamaican music and sampling the cosine. Roger
