March! In like a lamb, out like a LAMB!

Beautiful sunshiny summer day here at the lake! I’m busy finishing our dock–one section to go, while Shirley’s painting. It feels like summer. Wish you were here! I could use some help! Roger {:>)

“Print Scrn” from my weather station; 76.3 DEGREES:

Navigation now open to Kelly Lakers!

Yesterday afternoon (Tues the 30th), with mild temps in the mid-60s and strong southerly winds gusting to 20+, the fractured and honeycombed ice was pushed to the north shore, opening the lake to boaters… Temps today are suppose to be in the low to mid-70s under high cloud-filtered skis.

Our new wood dock is nearing completion.  I like the look and feel of the traditional wood dock (kinda Cape Cod-ish!), not to mention building one for a fraction of a metal one; though, the metal ones roll out; but, ours is only 36′, three sections; and, it takes little time to set it on the pre-formed stanchions; no pipes to drive in! Did I mention it’s only a fraction of the cost?!

Anyway, WOW(!), are we excited… looking forward to the rest of spring and summer! We’ve accomplished a hugh head start on freshening-up Birr’s Eye View with cleaning, painting and raking! We should be ready to sit back and relax (somewhat… garden’s gotta go in), and enjoy a long summer season!

Here’s a pic of a muskrat and some buffohead ducks–if you can see them navigating the open waters.  Turtle Cove still has some remnants of ice on its shore. Roger
