Signs of the season.
Flocks of geese flying south, while migrating ducks of various species glide onto the waters to take a break, gives one somber sentiments wondering where the heck did summer go!!! Roger

Sorry for the outage since Sunday! I hadn’t noticed it for a couple days. Always something, never nothing! Roger
Out alone; the lake to himself. A serene setting this fall day.
Shirley and I, as you’ve probably guessed by now, are up by or before sunrise; we’re early risers, getting the most of the daylight hours. However(!), we’re early to retire! Many of you, perhaps, keep a lamplight vigil!
I guess about half of you are on the east shore where you get the sunsets; we have to go out on the pontoon and drift to enjoy the waning sun. Be that said, I’d guess those of you who “sleep in” just might enjoy the sunrises Shirley and I do—Shirley captures the day at sunrise for you to witness! Here’s a photo Shirley took yesterday AM. Bill and Sherri Glandt came from my hometown, Two Rivers, for a visit this weekend. Bill and I attended St. Luke’s Grade School and TR Washington High together; shared some classes and courses throughout our school daze. We romped, caroused and often idled-away our time “crusin’ the main drag” (Don’t worry wives, we’re past that stage! That’s our story and we’re stickin’ to it!!).
All through the years Bill has been a card/cut-up! Oh, the stories. He became a TR policemen for a time because he knew all the loopholes; the kids weren’t going to pull anything over his eyes! A longtime school pal and a true friend; many of you know that kind of friendship. He met Sherri after high school, and now the four of us get together quite often.
We went to the KLB for hamburgers and beer, ate at the Holiday Inn and breakfast at the Kelly Lakeside Restaurant. Despite the crumby weather, we had a good time relaxing, reminiscing and bantering! Roger
