I drop a comment each time I appreciate a post on a website or if I
have something to add to the conversation. It's a result of the sincerness displayed in the article I browsed. And on this post Guest Book | Kelly Lake, Oconto County Wisconsin. I was moved enough to drop a thought :) I do have 2 questions for you if you don't mind. Could it be simply me or does it seem like a few of the remarks come across like left by brain dead folks? :-P And, if you are posting at additional places, I would like to follow everything fresh you have to post. Would you list all of all your public sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

Oh, by the way, Mary and Margaret! I dubbed Mom's head in on a friend who posed for the photo; thought it would get a laugh; mom got a kick out of it! Mom's expression was perfect for the posed pic! Rog

Hello Mary and Margaret!

What a pleasure it was to hear from you. We're sorry to find out about Margaret's health problems, but glad to know she's 'improving quite rapidly'. This getting old isn't all it's cracked up to be (a little humor). We'll include her in our thoughts and prayers; always a good idea!

Mom's doing pretty good for being 100; mind is sharp! She getting to enjoy Florida again after selling her place in Clearwater 10 years ago (1/2 hour north of us). We'll be going back to visit there this Wednesday; my Uncle/her brother lives in the same park where she had her home---Margaret will remember the trip there way back when! I guess you've found our web site and can follow Mom's stay with us, so I won't reiterate! She'll be flying back April 11th after 3 months here.

And, yes, having mother move in has many rewards and blessings. Mom doesn't impose her way of doing things---good for Shirley's ease-of-mind! Mom enjoys her walk-abouts in the park (albeit she's in a wheelchair) everyday, and thge places we go to that are unique---we plan at least one thing per week; more would be strenuous on her.

Oh, how great it would have been to have your dad/family visit us! Years ago I was headed to Wausau for a meeting and stopped at their cottage. I spotted the old trailer they bought from my dad that they used as a bunkhouse, and left a note to come and visit us at Kelly Lake. The memorories came back of swimming at Bass and Star Lakes when we would visit! I remember league bowling with him and especially barbershop singing!

Before we left for Florida, I was thinking od somewhere unique to eat. Don't know why, but I said "Tannery Club"! I told Shirley the stories of hanging out there and fish lunches; Dick singing; we all sang! I remember your Mom and Dad visiting me in the hospital when I was there for 5-months; the first time they met Shirley; they both were kind to her and I so much appreciated that. We've been married going on 23-years April 15th.

You've shared some fond memories and kind thoughts I'll always remember and treasure. Those were some good years... Stay in touch, an our door is always open at Kelly Lake (Bradenton, FL, too!).

Love to all!

Hi Roger, Shirley and Eva!!!!
I had to send you a hello from the 2 of us regarding the enjoyment we had today viewing photos on the Kelly Lake website. I (Mary) have moved in with Mom (Margaret) about 3 weeks ago to help her work through some serious health problems. It has been somewhat scary at times, but because a series of God guided medical direction she is improving quite rapidly, but of course not as fast as she would like. She has been quite ill for the past 5 months.
We loved seeing the photo of Eva in the pool, and the wonderful photo of Roger and Eva at Pier 22!!! It is heart-warming to see the 2 of you smiling together, and so inspirational for me as I see the beauty of your wonderful souls Roger and Shirley in taking care of your Mom.
We reminsced a lot about the Kelly Lake days and I am still haunted at times by the strong desire Dad expressed to visit you at Kelly Lake just months before he died and didn't get to do so.
I really want you to know how loved and appreciated you and your family are by our family. While we surely are happy for your life now with your wonderful wife Shirley, we truly miss you and all you contributed to our lives while we were blessed to call you our son in law and brother in law.
Maybe I can bring Mom to see you both when she is better????
Sending love and blessings to all of you!
