We’ve enjoyed beautiful unseasonable weather that prevailed over the last several days with temps in the upper 30s to near 60! Despite the warm days, the night have been cold enough to create a sheet of ice over the lake. Today the temps should be in the mid 49s; sunny morning; clouding up later in the day.
The mild temps lent an opportunity to start putting up outdoor Christmas decorations, including a new Santa and his reindeer landing on our carport! Shirley only got a start…it takes several days to decorate!
Shirley’s busy this morning putting up indoor Christmas decorations, getting into the Christmas spirit after a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Speaking of which, surviving turkeys have been grazing in our yard, some mornings right outside our carport.
The holidays certainly make the time fly, being busy with all the festivities. Family birthdays this time of year only let us know just how fast time flies! As I grow older, it seems I now have two birthdays each year; they come around so fast!
Along with Thanksgiving, we also celebrated our grandson’s, Evan, birthday coming up November 30th; Evan will be 14!The seasons change, as well as we do…somewhat! The ice forming is another sign of things to come… good times with families and friends! Before we know it, the ice will meet its demise… come spring! Roger
