HI KELLY LAKERS; ok so here is a photo of boat landing #1 from the era of 1942-1952???
This is standing on the east side of the actual boat landing road, looking west towards what would be St Bernadette road now, the power lines are in the back ground are still in the same spot (to the northwest of the store)
There use to be a snack shack and park on the west side of boat landing, which now the brown house and the other two houses on the lake sit on this property. I believe at this time in this photo this land may have been owned by Freddie frivault from Coleman. But this may not be so. I’m going from memory. I do know that one of the ladies that use to work at the snack shack her name was Dixie Pardo, her daughter is Cheri (Wyent) not sure of her name now. The white posts were a big thing back in that era. It’s strange if you stand in almost the same spot today you can about feel yourself in this timeline. Looking at the power lines- that hasn’t change much if at all.
If anyone has info on time line by perhaps identifying the time by the cars please let me know/ as I am putting these photos into booklet form. Thank you… Jo Ann
