A beautiful, sunny, perfect spring start-of-the-morning with mild temps and light winds out of the west… a perfect day for treating Eurasian milfoil: A wicked invasion of an aggressive weed that can take over a lake; hampering boating, fishing, swimming, AND threatening property values!
“Sculpin G” is being used this year to combat the last growths of milfoil, primarily in the bay, along our shore. Scupin G was chosen as a better agent than used last time, but its use requires waters to be calm, and activity discouraged, as the treatment needs to be undisturbed for a considerably longer time, especially the entire day.
I’m optimistic that this year’s application will be a success. So please inform your neighbors to avoid the bay and treatment areas.
We owe our thanks to Mary Mark, Jane Randersen and Becky Fabry who have championed this endeavor to fight the aggressive invasion of Eurasian milfoil! Roger
