Kelly Lake Sportsman’s Club
Saturday was a beautiful, sunny, low-30s day for the Kelly Lake Sportsman’s Club 2017 annual Fishing Derby. Reports estimated the ice was about 16″+ thick. The near-perfect conditions brought many eager anglers, snowmobilers and people just out to enjoy the activities, food, fun and refreshments.
The HUGH tent was big enough to house Barnum & Bailey’s elephants, trapeze and clowns… although there were some clowns that made it. It was wall-to-wall with people.
Many of us wandered over to Bob Davis’ Kracken Shack (the new “Viz’s Kelly Lake Bar).
Congratulations to the KLSC for another successful fishing derby, and thanks for all you do for our lake and community, not to mention the good time had by all! Roger
