Following Friday’s snowfall (about 5″ or so), snow started falling again Sunday morning throughout the day. It was a fluffy gentle snowfall, easily snowblowed or shoveled away like Friday; actually pretty despite visions of spring laying under the blankets of snow; dormant, waiting for the thawing.
At 5:30 PM, as I speak, the snow is still falling—perhaps 8+”—and is expected to end around 8 PM. The temp reached the low-20s, but with no wind, it was a pleasant snow—all snug and warm inside enjoying it. After Friday’s flurry, it was like deja vu all over again!
If the system moves out, and the wind kicks-up, you could see some considerable drifting… hope not. Roger
Throughout the day we’ve received about 4” of light-often-large-fluffy snowflakes; temps in the upper 20s. It’s supposed to stop about 8 PM.
The breadth of the snow seemed to encircle a limited area including Kelly Lake, and just sat on us! Most of the time we couldn’t see halfway across the lake. Snow piled up on the boughs and branches.
After the recent mild weather, the softly falling snow is just a reminder that we’re still in the midst of winter. Roger
